Spiritual direction is about your relationship with a real person, Jesus Christ. In our Christian vocation we need a spiritual coach of sorts that will guide and affirm us in our good endeavors, or call us out when we begin to stray. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it can help us work through things in our interior life by talking about them with someone who's interested in our holiness.
